Marco's Cafe

Construction is under way at the new location of Marco's Cafe in West Hollywood. When this store is completed the cafe will move in, then construction will begin on the remodel of the current Marco's Cafe transforming it into the new location of Marco's Trattoria.

Jose Anguiano is the superintendant on the job and came to Bonura Building two years ago from Marmol/Radziner. Jose was the superintendant on the Intelligentsia coffee house prior to Marco's, with his dry sense of humor and quick wit, Jose has brought comic relief to Bonura Building.

Marco's Cafe and Marco's Trattoria are both design/build projects by Bonura Building, designed by CJ Bonura and Tm Gratkowski. More photos will be posted when the project is completed.

James Perse Beverly Hills

Intelligentsia Wins AIA Award

The first California location of Intelligentsia Coffee located in Silver Lake, designed by Barbara Bestor Architecture and built by Bonura Building has one an AIA Award for Best Cafe.

Sea View Lane & Joshua Frank

The Sea View Lane project is located in the Mt. Washington area of Los Angeles. Designed by Architect Ivan Kadey, the home will have spectacular views of the Downtown Los Angeles skyline.

Architect Joshua Frank is the supervisor on the project. A graduate of Sci-Arc, Josh was the lead architect on the Tanager Way project, Josh's aesthetic values and exemplary work ethic have made him an integral member of the team.

Wexler Residence

The two images show the phases of the Wexler job. On the left is the new construction and the right is the existing house. Demo has begun and work will begin to blend the existing residence into the new addition. Taking a Spanish style home, removing elements to streamline the facade to match.

The new addition will double as the home of Glen Wexler Studios as well as an expansion of living area for the family.

Bonura Building Employee Spotlight

The first image shows CJ Bonura, Prinicipal of Bonura Building with Josh Zuboff inspecting conditions at the Wexler jobsite. Josh came to Bonura Building from Marmol/Radziner and has been an integral part of our supervision team, his expertise and calm demeanor have proven invaluable with the intricacies of the Wexler job.

The second image is Sergio Beltran, Sergio has been with Bonura Building for several years and has become a valued employee, showing drive and initiative in learning about the construction industry.

Tanager Way, designed and built by Bonura Building is featured in an article in the Robb Report Collection March 2007 issue about "Wired Houses." Tanager Way was designed and built with a custom whole house monitoring system giving the homeowner the ability to control all house systems from any terminal in the home.

Intelligentsia Coffee Opens

Designed by Bestor Architecture and built by Bonura Building, Intelligentsia Coffee has opened thier first California location in Silver Lake at Sunset Junction.

Bonura Building in Interior Design Magazine

Interior Design Issue #10 has a feature story on Kanye West and his Los Angeles Residence. Bonura Building is the architect of record as well as the contractor on the project, working in conjunction with Don Stewart of Desiderata Design and the homeowner to achieve a sleek modern remodel of this Hollywood home.

James Perse

Workers are busy putting the final touches and stocking the shelves getting ready for the opening of the new James Perse store in Beverly Hills. Designed by Standard/Jeff Alsbrook and built by Bonura Building with Jeff Vasquez supervising.

North Knoll Project

This project is a large hillside addition that will double as the homeowners residence and studio.
Work has begun on the lap pool and spa. The steel beams that can be seen will be a bridge from the roof top deck to the spa deck.

Eco-Insulation

The Ivarene project progress's with the installation of Ultra Touch Natural Cotton Fiber Insulation. This material has excellent sound dampening qualities, does'nt make you itch and is good for the environment.

Almost There!

James Perse

Construction is under way on the third James Perse clothing store in the Los Angeles area. Located in Beverly Hills this store, as well as the others were designed by Architect Jeff Allsbrook/Standard. A late August opening is planned, check back for more photos.

Bonura Building Goes Green

The Ivarene Project, a three story modern industrial residence is Bonura Building’s first foray into “green” construction. Prior to starting the project, the homeowner had an environmental inspection of the existing home. In planning the addition/remodel the guidelines and recommendations by Environmental Inspections + Solutions of Malibu California have been taken into consideration.

The September 2007 issue of Metropolitan Home Magazine has a Bonura Building Project on the cover. The Tanager Way Residence is featured in an article titled "A Remarkably Revised Ranch."

Cafe Marco Re-design

CJ Bonura and Tm Gratkowski are currently re-designing the popular West Hollywood coffee house Cafe Marco. Check back for construction photos.

Intelligentsia & Bonura Building

Bonura Building is also involved in commercial construction, tenant improvements. Designed by Architect Barbara Bestor, Intelligentsia is a new specialty coffee house in the Sunset Junction area of Los Angeles opening soon.

Sea View Lane

St Ives Residence

The St. Ives Residence is located in the Sunset Plaza area of Los Angeles. What was once a one story ranch home will soon be a beautifull new Modern Residence. Initial design by Richard Olander Architects, construction is set to begin soon Check back for more photos.

Tanager Way Residence

Designed by CJ Bonura and Joshua Frank this was a complete remodel of a traditional home into a modern masterpiece, including the addition of a hillside pool.
Completed in October of 2006, final budget $1,952,000
